Local models signed for Cardiff Fashion Week
The organisers of Cardiff Fashion Week are giving aspiring models from across south Wales the chance to appear at the biggest fashion and beauty event of the year.
Nearly 30 models – all local – will take to the stage at Fashion Showcase at the Cardiff Hilton Hotel on Saturday 19 October.
The men and women will be wearing a series of collections from established and emerging designers.
Billed as an event worthy of any self-respecting fashionista, the shows will reveal the autumn and winter 2013/2014 collections from high street retailers, independents and emerging designers in an energetic and entertaining production. It will also feature creations by the designers of the future from the University of South Wales.
There will also be an exhibition at the city centre hotel, which visitors can browse both before and after the main catwalk events.
Clare Birt, director of Cardiff Fashion Week, said: “The event is the premier fashion and beauty spectacle in Wales this year. We think it is important to give aspiring models from South Wales the opportunity to be a part of the celebration and look forward to a very special week.”
Each show will last around 40 minutes. Standard tickets are available at £10, while VIP front row seats are on sale at £15. Tickets are available online now at www.visitcfw.co.uk.
